1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at b2mcommunities.org ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Site.

2. About B2MC

Building Minds Building Communities, Inc. ("B2MC") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in New York State. Our EIN is 92-2873759. The Site is operated to provide information about B2MC's programs, facilitate donations, and support community engagement in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

3. Use of the Site

You may use this Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest content from the Site without permission
• Impersonate B2MC, its staff, or any other person or entity
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, logos, program names, framework names (including The BUILD Initiative™, B2MC Community Capacity Building Model™, Digital Empowerment by Design™, and MindBuilders™), and design elements — is the property of Building Minds Building Communities, Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may share links to our content and reference our work with proper attribution. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission from B2MC.

5. Donations

Donations made through links on this Site are processed by Zeffy or Givelify. B2MC is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. B2MC does not guarantee specific tax outcomes — consult your tax advisor for guidance on deductibility.

All donations are final unless there is a documented processing error. To report a donation issue, contact office@b2mcommunities.org.

6. Program Registration

Registration through this Site does not guarantee program enrollment. All program participation is subject to availability, eligibility requirements, and B2MC staff review. B2MC reserves the right to decline or remove participants from programs at its discretion.

Some events use registration time slots with limited capacity. Your confirmation will show your selected time slot. Participants under 18 must be registered by, or with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian.

Photos and recordings. B2MC photographs, films, and records at events and programs only with permission, as described in our Media Release Policy. Permission is optional and never required to participate.

7. Text Message Terms

B2MC offers two separate, optional text message programs from our official toll-free number, 1-888-288-2262. Each requires its own consent.

• Registration updates (informational): confirmations, reminders, and updates about a registration you made (such as time changes), or replies about a message you sent us. Usually 1–4 messages per registration.
• B2MC news (promotional): upcoming B2MC events, programs, and ways to get involved. Texts may include images (MMS), such as event flyers. Up to 4 messages per month.
• How to opt in: Check the box for each program you want on a B2MC form and provide your mobile number. Boxes are never pre-checked. Consent is not a condition of registration, enrollment, volunteering, donating, or contacting us.
• Costs: Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
• To stop texts: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You'll receive one confirmation that you've been unsubscribed from all B2MC texts. To start again, reply START or opt in on a B2MC form.
• For help: Reply HELP, or contact us at office@b2mcommunities.org or 646-685-3636.
• Eligibility: By opting in, you confirm you are the account holder for the phone number provided, or have the account holder's permission. Texts about participants under 18 go to their parent or guardian.
• Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Two-way messages: Some replies are sent automatically (for example, when you reply 1 or 2 to a reminder); other messages are read by authorized B2MC staff. Do not text sensitive personal information. This text line is not monitored for emergencies; in an emergency, call 911.
• Privacy: Your phone number and opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. B2MC does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the Site.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, B2MC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or its content. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site shall not exceed $100.

10. External Links

The Site may contain links to external websites not operated by B2MC. These links are provided for convenience only. B2MC does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any external site.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Kings County, New York.

12. Changes to These Terms

B2MC reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
